Gervinho Finally Revealed.

So Arsenal have finally and officially confirmed the signing of our new African starlet Gervinho, Hooray! The amount of time it has taken Arsenal to announce this one as officially is disgusting compared to many other teams already having signed two or three players, the likes of Liverpool and Manure. At this rate we can expect a maximum of one more signing given that we have five more weeks remaining roughly until the start of the season, having taken about five non-confidential weeks to even secure a player we all knew we were going to get anyway. As we can expect though Wenger and Ivan are both now back in the UK so im sure there will be plenty on the transfer front including In’s and out’s, albeit we have our next friendly this saturday against FC Cologne in Germany which is the next destination of our pre-season friendlies.

So its seems as though we have hit a snag over the signing of Joel Campbell, although being 18-19 he seems to have attracted a lot of interest, as confirmed by @YoungGunsBlog and @Gunnerblog it seems as if his father has decided to review offers from elsewhere although the player is having a pre-medical in aid of all the clubs interested and whoever’s bid shall be accepted will get the player after the U20’s World Cup as he is currently on national duty for Costa Rica. Well this is good isn’t it, once again Arsenal have difficulties trying to sign a player, seems to happen with every player recently. oh well if he signs he signs i wont weep over it, we all know that Arsenal are the best club to nurture and provide the best facilitys to make young players into stars.

Well there are rumours galor out and about in the World Wide Web including twitter and NewsNow, i find it enjoyable reading who Arsenal are linked with each day being a different player, the latest is Hamsik for Napoli and i must say he is a very good player having seen him play on numerous times but i highly doubt we would be able to afford him and napoli would not be willing to sell their star player having secured champions league football for next season with automatic qualification unlike ourselves. Also the chairman has slapped a hefty price tag of €100mil which will see off most suitors for the time being and definitely Arsenal. Another rumour gathering pace is that Gary Cahill will be set for a medical this week at Arsenal, hmm not quite sure but i hope so, we shall see on that one, we know Wenger is a huge admirer of Cahill so maybe we have met Bolton’s requested fee or his transfer buy-out clause.

Moving on swiftly i give you here a short video courtisy of @BackwardsGooner and his blog at http://mr-renoog-videos.blogspot.com/

This video shows just how important Cesc is for Arsenal and the losss of him is underestimated although we have both Wilshere and Ramsey on the up and probably have the potential to be at Cesc’s level this is what we get from Cesc right now and we cant afford to lose it and wait for both our young talents to be at that level. Im very sure Wenger will remain firm on the Cesc saga with Cuntelona and we shouldnt be willing to cash in on him so easy.

Lastly it has been announced on the official Arsenal website that Denilson has agreed a loan deal for the season to Sao Paulo which is excellent for both parties and regardless if he reiterates his sadness to leave, he was the one stating he didnt want to be at the mighty gooners at the end of the season and came here to win trophies.. Ye right mate on your horse, so glad to see the back of him in my opinion thinking of his lack of tracking or should i say non existance of tracking makes my blood boil.

Anyway thats all for today on this very late post will post more tomorrow.

Yours Goonerly!
